Our take on Rota's Nautical Chronicles of Trade
The defining structure is a port-town economy built around sea routes: production, imports, processing, exports, and negotiations all feed into Portamare’s development.
What is Rota's Nautical Chronicles of Trade?
Build the port town of Portamare and revive the forest country through maritime commerce.
Produce goods, import materials, process products, and export them to other countries. Ships carry the goods, with larger vessels holding more export cargo. The town has farmers, merchants, and sailors, each with distinct skills; merchants can take part in negotiations, either alongside Rota or as hired traders. Construct facilities around the settlement, gain access to new trading partners, and expand the available facilities and resident population. Pixel-art townspeople move through the map, while tourists may visit. A yearly ranking event measures the town’s development, and the game includes a continuing story.
