Our take on Rogue Trooper Redux
The game concentrates on a defined tactical-shooter campaign, so it gives up the broader exploration and character-building systems found in many action-adventure or role-playing games. Its co-op content is also limited to two dedicated modes focused on defending or escaping.
What is Rogue Trooper Redux?
Play as the last Genetic Infantryman after the Quartz Zone massacre, carrying three fallen soldiers’ biochips in a rifle, pack and helmet.
The campaign spans 13 missions across locations including the Quartz Zone, Petrified Forest and Harpo’s Ferry. Combat combines stealth, cover-based shooting and set-piece encounters, with weapons and tools such as Lazookas, explosives, turrets, mines and custom ammunition. The biochips provide tactical functions: Gunnar can turn the rifle into a sentry gun, Helm can advise and distract enemies, and Bagman can manufacture ammunition, salvage parts and upgrade weapons. The remastered edition adds high-definition presentation, modern controls, extra difficulty settings and a revised cover system. Online co-op supports 2–4 players in Strongold and Progressive modes.

Rogue Trooper Redux compared to similar games
Rogue Trooper Redux focuses on a 13-mission third-person campaign with stealth, cover combat, tactical biochip abilities and two-to-four-player co-op modes. Hentai Vs Furries is also a third-person shooter, but its description centers on quests, unlockable skins, multiple camera angles and emotes. Abyssus instead emphasizes fast-paced multiplayer shooting, hand-crafted levels and roguelite progression with weapon refitting.
