Our take on ROCKETRON
Rather than following a strictly linear side-scrolling route, the game adds simple non-linear exploration to its aerial shooting structure. It also gives the compact campaign 3 possible endings, making story resolution less fixed than in a standard short action shooter.
What is ROCKETRON?
ROCKETRON is a side-scrolling action shooter set in 2049 on the cyberhuman planet of Metnal 28.
B. L. A. M. , a cybernetic warrior working for the peacekeeping group ARGO EXPRESS, uses a rocket musket and other weapons to attack the Congregation of Gogoh, a group seeking global domination. Gameplay combines aerial movement, enemy charges, pitfall jumps, shooting, and simple non-linear exploration across 20 stages in 6 areas. Eight weapon types and in-game power-ups allow character customization and upgrades. The game includes 4 difficulty levels, 3 different endings, and an estimated 3-6 hours of gameplay.
