Our take on Rock, the Tree Hugger
Its defining structure is a timed dual-objective run: the rock must gather enough tree score and rescue enough humans before the advancing fire becomes fatal.
What is Rock, the Tree Hugger?
Control a rolling rock with the left mouse button while moving the mouse through colored forests.
Each level sets targets for rescued humans and tree score, while an advancing forest fire creates the main hazard. Green trees provide standard points; yellow trees double the score. Red trees increase movement speed, blue trees reduce it, orange trees shrink the rock, and purple trees enlarge it. Humans add to the rescue total, while contact with fire kills the rock. Levels become progressively harder as the game combines these objectives, environmental effects, and the need to avoid the flames.
How Rock, the Tree Hugger plays
- 01Mouse-Based Movement
- Holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse directs the rolling rock.
- 02Colored Tree Effects
- Tree colors can alter score, movement speed, or the rock's size.
- 03Level Objectives
- Progress requires reaching specified totals for human rescues and tree points.
- 04Advancing Fire Hazard
- The forest fire remains lethal and adds time pressure during each level.
