Our take on RoboCo
Robots can be controlled directly or automated with Python, giving the construction sandbox two ways to carry out its challenges.
What is RoboCo?
RoboCo is a sandbox game about constructing robots for tasks set in a world of humans.
In creative mode, players can build freely from a range of parts, connect controls, adjust how robots move and work, and add cosmetic items such as hats and googly eyes. Open-ended challenges include delivering sandwiches, preparing dinner, and performing a robot dance. Robots can be operated through controls or automated with Python. Steam Workshop features let players share their creations, download robots made by others, and remix them. The game combines freeform construction with challenge-based tasks, using the same robot-building tools across both ways to play.
How RoboCo plays
- 01Python automation
- Robots can be programmed in Python to carry out tasks without direct controller input.
- 02Robot sharing
- Steam Workshop features support sharing creations and downloading or remixing other players' robots.
- 03Open-ended tasks
- Challenges include food delivery, dinner preparation, and robot dance performances.
