Our take on Rift Drifter
The mix of platforming, quests, classes, crafting, and cooperative play gives the game several kinds of activity, but leaves less room for a narrowly focused platforming or combat experience.
What is Rift Drifter?
Rift Drifter is a 2D action-adventure platformer set around an abandoned temple, with exploration in a handcrafted world or one that shifts over time.
Players uncover a story with twists, meet characters, complete quests, and fight enemies using attacks, dashes, and blasts. Multiple classes offer different moves and skills. Leveling unlocks skills, while loot from defeated foes can be used to craft and equip items. Boss encounters add major fights to the journey. The game combines platforming with Metroidvania and RPG elements, alongside combat with a souls-like influence. Multiplayer supports playing with up to 3 friends.
