We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Physics-platformer fans who want movement based on timing rather than direct steering
- Players seeking a 70-level challenge built around gravity and momentum
- Competitive players who want ghost races, leaderboards, and achievements
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want direct control over a platforming character may find the indirect movement restrictive
- Players who prefer conventional platforming actions without energy timing may not fit the four-action system
- Players seeking a primarily story-led adventure may find the listed structure centered on physics challenges
Our take on Revolve
The dystopian escape premise gives Revolve a narrative setting, but the main interaction is indirect control: players trigger actions and observe the resulting motion. The central consideration is whether that timing-based physics model suits the intended play style.
What is Revolve?
Revolve is an action-puzzle platformer about Reevo, a wheeled drone escaping a dystopian world.
Reevo cannot be directed directly; movement is shaped through four actions: increasing speed, braking, jumping, and changing gravity. Each action consumes energy, which replenishes slowly, so progress depends on choosing when to act and observing how Reevo reacts. The game includes 70 levels featuring inverted gravity, wall-riding sections, and zero-gravity areas. Players can race against other players’ ghosts, use leaderboards, and earn achievements. A level editor is also included.
How Revolve plays
- 01Indirect Movement
- Reevo responds to timed speed changes, braking, jumps, and gravity switches rather than direct steering.
- 02Energy Management
- The four available actions consume energy, which restores slowly during play.
- 0370 Levels
- The levels include inverted gravity, wall-riding, and zero-gravity sections.
- 04Ghost Races
- Players can race against ghosts from other players.
- 05Level Editor
- A built-in editor is included for making additional levels.
