Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed ruleset may find shifting events and regional rule changes unpredictable
- Players looking for combat without colony development or exploration may find the game's scope too broad
- Players seeking a game centered only on tactical battles may not want its settlement and territory systems
Our take on Revival: Recolonization
The changing-world design trades predictability for variety: weather shifts, infestations, and weapon restrictions can require plans to change as conditions shift.
What is Revival: Recolonization?
Revival: Recolonization is a 4X strategy game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth.
Explore altered landscapes, negotiate with or conquer territories, and develop human colonies across four epochs, from survival settlements to futuristic communities. Key events can change weather, bring zombie infestations, restrict weapon types, or otherwise alter the rules of play. An edict system supports regional terraforming and rule adjustments, while shield constructs and a tribe’s totem tree can protect settlements. Select clans with distinct traits and bonuses, equip and craft troop components, and command forces in turn-based battles using destructible cover. The world also contains pre-cataclysm artifacts, anomalies, evolved wildlife, and mechanical automatons.
