Play it if you…

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who prefer forgiving combat may hit a wall at the challenging fights and the need to time parries.
- Players seeking a slow, exploration-led pace may find the focus on melee encounters and combo building a poor fit.
- Players looking for multiplayer play may not find the group-oriented experience they want.
Our take on Reventa
The likely bounce point is combat timing: players who struggle to parry incoming attacks may have trouble with Blue’s approach, while Red’s time-stop and ranged dagger attacks offer a different style. The game is still described as challenging, so switching characters does not imply a lower difficulty.
What is Reventa?
Reventa is a third-person sci-fi melee action game set on a dying Earth after a war that drove humanity toward extinction.
Playing as a scavenger, choose between two Replicants and retrieve lost technology. Blue uses sword attacks and timed parries, while Red throws daggers, triggers explosions, and can stop time. Combat also includes dodging, blocking, attacks from enemy blind spots, and combos that increase damage. Defeated enemies provide Insight, which can be spent on skills and traits for damage, survivability, and special effects. Movement options include wallrunning, double jumps, rolls, slides, and teleporting. Collectible Codex Ciphers reveal the world’s history and possible future. Death does not end a run, as continues are unlimited.
