Our take on Project Evolve
The bounce point arrives when combat rewards depend on uninterrupted hits. Players who prefer slower encounters may find the combo counter and enemy-direction mechanics demanding, especially when maintaining momentum becomes central to reaching higher reward levels.
What is Project Evolve?
Project Evolve is an action beat-em-up adventure set inside the Simulation Imagination room.
Players control Azula across multiple terrains and challenges while recovering her abilities and strength. Combat combines close-range attacks with electrical strikes. Maintaining continuous hits builds a combo counter, which reaches reward levels. Enemies can be knocked around like projectiles, with the full moveset available to direct their movement. Progression centers on restoring Azula’s abilities while advancing toward the end of the simulation.
How Project Evolve plays
- 01Combo Rewards
- Sustained attacks increase a counter that unlocks different reward levels.
- 02Enemy Direction
- Moves can launch enemies in chosen directions during combat.
- 03Ability Recovery
- Azula regains her strength while progressing through varied terrain and challenges.
