Our take on Retention
Rather than using exploration, combat, or puzzle-solving as its main structure, the game frames its story as a photo album assembled from memories. Its eight endings also replace a single conventional conclusion with multiple possible outcomes.
What is Retention?
A narrative game about a man who has spent his life moving forward without revisiting the past.
After an incident leaves him trapped beneath his bicycle, memories appear as a sequence of images. Players examine these moments to piece together his story and determine whether he can recover his memories and rise again. The game presents its story as a photo-album-style experience rather than a conventional adventure format. Eight endings are available: four positive and four negative. It also includes an original soundtrack and support for Steam Trading Cards.
