Our take on SLG Remix
Its defining structure is a fully kinetic remix of a horror adventure: the route is fixed, and the alternate endings, choices, and battles from the original version are removed.
What is SLG Remix?
SLG Remix is a PC version of Sacred Line Genesis, presented as a surreal 16-bit horror visual novel and adventure game inspired by obscure 1990s works.
Players follow Ellen, a private detective in eastern Europe, after an anonymous caller sends her to investigate a hidden forest outpost. This remix uses an entirely kinetic structure with only the Normal ending; choices, battles, bad endings, and the Secret ending are absent. It uses a different engine and interface, includes multiple save slots, and presents higher-resolution still images than the Genesis release. The soundtrack contains uncompressed original tracks and additional music removed from the original because of ROM size limits. Steam trading card crafting is also included.
