We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Action-RPG players who want repeated arena battles with escalating waves
- Small groups who prefer cooperative combat for up to four participants
- Players interested in endlessly increasing gear statistics
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a broad campaign with varied locations and mission structures rather than a single arena mode
- Players who need a large enemy roster or several combat models, since the listing specifies two standard enemy types and one available R.A.V. class
- Solo players looking specifically for a game built around individual play instead of squad combat
Our take on Resurgence: Earth United
The wave-based arena structure keeps the focus on repeated combat and gear growth, but gives up broader exploration and campaign variety. Enemy variety is also narrow at the stated scope, with two standard types and one available robotic model.
What is Resurgence: Earth United?
Resurgence: Earth United is an action RPG set after an alien invasion leaves humanity near extinction.
Players control the R. A. V MK II, a remote robotic combat system linked to a human operator, and defend Earth in an arena. Arena Mode supports squads of up to four against successive enemy waves. Every tenth wave introduces an elite opponent as a team test. The game includes two standard enemy roles, Rusher and Ranged, plus elite versions of both. The first available R. A. V model is Orion Class, a ranged robotic assault model. A loot system raises gear item levels and increases equipment statistics without a stated endpoint. Steam multiplayer allows friends to join sessions.
