Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking varied mission structures may find repeated enemy waves narrow in scope
- Players who prefer forgiving progression may dislike the permanent profile deletion in Hardcore Mode
- Players looking for a primarily narrative adventure may find the combat-focused structure unsuitable
Our take on Armored Evolution
The equipment system adds variety through randomized rewards and modifications, but the game centers on repeated arena combat. Hardcore Mode makes that focus stricter by deleting a profile after death, leaving less room for recovery from a failed run.
What is Armored Evolution?
Armored Evolution is a top-down arena shooter built around fighting waves of enemies alone or with a group.
Players aim with the cursor and move with WASD while timing shots and dodging incoming fire. Completing levels awards randomized avatars and weapons, which can be combined and modified in different ways. Credits earned during play can improve avatars and weapons. Multiplayer supports squads of up to four players, with coordinated attacks and ability combinations. A campaign mode leads into Endless Mode, where waves continue indefinitely. Hardcore Mode adds permanent consequences: a hardcore profile is deleted when its character dies. The game also includes planetary guardians and a selection of equipment for developing different combat approaches.
