Our take on REPULSOR
The game concentrates on fast polarity changes, Core management, and score growth, leaving little space for slower progression or broader gameplay systems. Holding the Nova Gauge also means giving up its immediate screen-clearing attack when pursuing the high-score boost.
What is REPULSOR?
REPULSOR is a 360-degree arcade shoot ’em up centered on changing polarity so bullets can destroy enemies of the opposing color.
The multiplier rises automatically and drops when the Core is hit; increasing it evolves the weapon system and raises the high score. Damage causes the Core to grow, reducing the time available to react. Power-ups and defeated enemies fill the Nova Gauge, which can release a screen-clearing blast and reduce the Core toward its original size. Holding the full gauge instead offers a high-score boost. The game includes classic arcade play with 3 difficulty levels, unlockable challenges, and endless modes. All modes support solo play or 2-player co-op, with Steam leaderboards, achievements, ultra-widescreen support, and 4K resolution.
How REPULSOR plays
- 01Color-based shooting
- Changing polarity allows bullets to destroy enemies of the opposite color.
- 02Core pressure system
- Enemy hits enlarge the Core and leave less time for subsequent reactions.
- 03Nova Gauge
- Power-ups and defeated enemies charge a meter for a screen-clearing attack that can reduce the Core.
- 04Two-player co-op
- Every available mode supports either solo play or a 2-player session.
- 05Multiple arcade modes
- The game offers classic play with 3 difficulty levels, unlockable challenges, and endless modes.
