Our take on Reframed
The central shift is from Solarix’s stealth-playing engineer to a trained soldier who fights through the same research-station setting. That change makes direct combat, rather than avoiding enemies, the defining choice of this reimagining.
What is Reframed?
ReFramed is a first-person horror shooter set in the Solarix universe.
An infection has overrun an interstellar research station, and the player takes the role of a trained soldier fighting to survive, contain the disease, and eliminate infected crew members. The game reimagines Solarix’s stealth-based story as a combat-focused experience: rather than playing an engineer who sneaks through the station, players shoot their way through it. Its arsenal includes weapons such as a sniper rifle and rocket launcher.
The campaign spans 11 levels, including the surface of Planet Ancyra, mines, and Remora Space Station. A sci-fi horror narrative, tense atmosphere, unsettling sound design, and an action soundtrack accompany the combat. The presentation uses 2000s-style graphics and retro gameplay associated with the 1990s.
