StrategyIs Ratty Catty worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Small groups who want asymmetric cat-versus-mouse matches rather than cooperative play against a shared challenge.
- Players who enjoy switching between a food-stealing role and a defending role with different abilities.
- Families or casual groups seeking a game with modes for 1–4 players and AI opponents.
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a story-driven campaign or a stated sequence of missions may find the described match-based setup limited.
- Players seeking varied solo roles may find the AI options restrictive, since the described solo mode has the player as Ratty and AI as Catty.
- Players who want a game without competitive rankings may not want its weekly, monthly, and all-time leaderboards.
Our take on Ratty Catty
The match centers on a food run: Ratty has to bring kitchen food back to the nest alive, while Catty hunts it before it gets there.
What is Ratty Catty?
Ratty Catty is a hide-and-seek game for 1–4 players, with multiplayer, co-op, and single-player modes that can include AI.
One side plays Catty, a domestic cat trying to stop Ratty from taking food from the kitchen. The other plays Ratty, a hazel dormouse who must carry food back to the nest to feed its babies and reach the nest alive. The two roles have different abilities and equipment: Ratty can hide in household objects and use tools such as a jetpack, while Catty can set traps and use weapons. The house contains movable physical objects, and its wall and object colors are randomized. The game also includes character customization, rankings, rewards, and a RatMan arcade mini-game.
