Our take on Rat Hunter
Objective-based first-person shooting is the defining format, combining combat with puzzles, machinery, and vehicle travel instead of making enemy elimination the sole goal.
What is Rat Hunter?
Rat Hunter is a first-person shooter set at a research facility on a remote planet.
A freelance reporter investigates the disappearance of workers connected to ROOM, a potent drug studied at the corporate site. Objective-based levels require players to overcome obstacles, solve puzzles, operate mechanisms such as turrets and cranes, and travel on foot or in buggies. Combat includes eight weapon types and enemies such as genetic mutants, cyborg sentries, and corporate mercenaries, with behaviors including pack hunting and flanking. More than 20 locations form the setting for the investigation. The physics system allows objects to be thrown, overturned, moved, or used as barricades. The story includes betrayals, unexpected allies, and revelations about the protagonist's identity.
