Our take on Raiders of Valhalla
The army-management systems trade direct simplicity for layered progression. Recruiting classes, gathering raid resources, improving skills, and managing equipment add planning between battles rather than keeping the experience focused only on immediate combat.
What is Raiders of Valhalla?
Raiders of Valhalla is an action strategy game about leading a clan of Viking dwarves into battles against villages and their defenders.
Raids provide resources for hiring additional warriors, improving skills, and acquiring weapons, armor, and other equipment. The clan can include classes such as Berserker, Drengr, Valkyrie, Seer, Skald, and Thurl. Battles require tactics when enemy forces outnumber or overpower the dwarves, with special abilities, blessings, reinforcements, and boss encounters adding further challenges. Progress takes the clan through forests, fiery regions, deserts, and snowy mountains. The game also includes a forge system, a skill tree, pet companions, a progression manager, resource gathering, and a Viking ship.
