Our take on The Last King
Rather than keeping survival at the level of one character scavenging and fighting, the game ties it to rebuilding a city and commanding an army. That shifts the familiar survival loop toward kingdom restoration and military leadership.
What is The Last King?
Set in ancient Greece after a Persian invasion, this open-world survival game combines exploration, combat, and kingdom rebuilding.
Gather resources in the wilderness and establish stations, trade outposts, and marching camps. Rebuild a destroyed city, create jobs, and restore its population. Recruit soldiers from different backgrounds, train and equip them, then direct the army with tactics and formations against Persian forces and barbarian tribes. Combat roles include spear, sword, and bow use. Players can also attack enemy camps, destroy strongholds, and free Greek villages. The game’s structure links personal survival and combat to building a base and leading an army.
