We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Precision-platformer players who enjoy retrying difficult jumps after falling
- Friends seeking local cooperative or competitive multiplayer
- Players who like choosing between safer routes and risky shortcuts
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who need checkpoints may hit a wall when each difficult section must be attempted without one.
- Those seeking a forgiving platformer may bounce off the repeated failures and demanding precision jumps.
- Players looking for multiplayer beyond local split-screen may find the available mode too limited.
Our take on Rad Rocket
The bounce point arrives at the checkpoint system: a missed jump does not lead to a nearby checkpoint because the game has none. Players who rely on frequent section restarts may stop at the first extended sequence of falls and retries.
What is Rad Rocket?
Rad Rocket is a precision platformer about using an experimental rocket launcher to climb from an underground facility to the surface and beyond.
Rocket jumps launch the character toward chosen positions while gravity creates the main obstacle. The route covers over 2500 meters across seven zones, with repeated falling and retrying built into play. There are no checkpoints, while the auto-save system records progress and mistakes. Players can select alternate routes, including shortcuts with higher risks. An optional tutorial introduces rocket jumping. Local multiplayer supports cooperation or competition through horizontal or vertical split-screen. Player one uses mouse and keyboard, and player two uses a controller. Gameplay also includes 12 hats to earn.
