Our take on Qvadriga
Rather than treating racing as continuous action alone, the game pauses the contest or runs it in real time while asking for tactical choices about lanes, attacks, curves, and team condition. Its campaign also makes driver and equipment management part of the race structure.
What is Qvadriga?
Manage a four-horse chariot team in ancient Roman racing venues.
Train charioteers, improve their skills and constitution, and modify chariots and horses through upgrade choices. During races, choose lanes, negotiate curves, block opponents, avoid attacks, and use actions such as shaking reins or whipping horses against rival teams. Races can use paused turn-based play or continuous real-time action, with between four and sixteen competing teams. A campaign spans seven regions and 43 circuses, with seven venues available at the start.
Build fame to access higher-category arenas, including the Circus Maximus. Manage team services by buying, selling, healing, and repairing equipment, while hiring medical, craft, and veterinary support. Six factions provide distinct team upgrades, and city bonuses and race events change campaign conditions.
