We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…

- Exploration-focused players who are comfortable finding their own way when quest directions are limited
- Players who enjoy choosing quests and trading with villagers rather than focusing only on combat
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who need clear directions for every quest may hit a wall when some paths leave them to work out where to go.
- Players who want village help without first earning copper may hit a wall at the requirement to pay villagers.
- Players looking for a multiplayer game may not find the player-versus-player focus described in some other titles.
Our take on Project RPG Remastered
The clearest bounce point is the shift from guided quests to less directed ones: players who rely on explicit directions may stall when a quest leaves them to work out where to go. The copper requirement for village assistance adds another hurdle before villagers help with the search.
What is Project RPG Remastered?
After waking on a dirt road with few memories, the protagonist follows a path to Bartrone and asks its villagers for help finding his wife and son.
They require copper, so he can earn payment by completing risky quests for an ammunition dealer and other villagers. The game combines role-playing, action, horror, mystery, and story elements in a map with areas to explore, including a ghoul-infested asylum. Players can choose quests, and those choices affect rewards such as weapons or unlocked doors. Quest guidance varies: some paths provide directions, while others leave players to discover where to go. The game also includes multiple weapons, bounties, and buying, selling, and trading with villagers.
