Rather than using a conventional battlefield or fantasy setting, the game places its combat inside an animal’s tissues. Its progression also ties combat to the test subject’s temperature, making excessive attacks a stage-management concern instead of treating shooting as an isolated activity.
What is Project: Emplorer?
Project: Emplorer puts the player in control of a micro-robot traveling inside an animal.
Progress requires fighting immune cells that attack the robot and advancing through biological tissue-themed stages. The robot fires bullets, with timed shots dealing greater damage. Combat also affects the test subject: stimulating immune cells raises body temperature, and excessive heat causes negative effects. Samples collected from defeated cells can be harvested, while resources must be managed during each stage. Completing work rewards upgrades that increase the robot’s capabilities. The game includes varied enemy types, stage progression, sample collection, resource management, timed attacks, and several stat upgrades acquired as the robot moves toward its destination.
