Our take on Professor Why™: The Quantum Eye
Its defining structure is a rescue investigation presented as a sequence of logic-puzzle levels, with the infected robot Quantum Eye obstructing progress through the artificial-intelligence mystery.
What is Professor Why™: The Quantum Eye?
Investigate the disappearance of Professor Why on Muta, a space base on Kepler 438b, a planet orbiting a red dwarf more than 470 light years from Earth.
The station was built for artificial intelligence research and housed CORE, a supercomputer that managed exploration and communication with Earth. After contact with the researchers stopped, a rebel robot called PW-36X established a communication link and requested a rescue mission. As the player, infiltrate CORE’s system and progress through levels built around logic puzzles. The infected robot Quantum Eye attempts to obstruct the investigation. The game combines puzzle-solving with science-fiction exploration, dialogue, action, and a plot about the fate of Professor Why, his crew, and CORE’s artificial intelligence.
