Our take on Preserve
Rather than treating nature as a backdrop for combat or exploration, the game makes ecosystem arrangement its central puzzle. Its vertical stacking system also departs from the usual flat map structure, turning habitat layers into part of the building challenge.
What is Preserve?
Preserve is a nature-building puzzle game about arranging plants and animals into balanced ecosystems.
Players expand maps horizontally and can stack natural layers to create connected habitats. Alpine forests, savannas, and Caribbean reefs each contain different wildlife, vegetation, and environmental challenges. Puzzle and harmony modes focus on developing thriving biomes through strategic placement and balance. Creative mode removes building limitations for open-ended landscape construction, while photo mode lets players capture and share completed maps. Natural features such as snowy Alps, lavender fields, and redwood forests can be added through the Card Upcycle System, giving players additional ways to shape and decorate their environments.
