Our take on PowerSlave Exhumed
Its broad mix of console-version content and added display options comes with a focused identity: this remains a first-person action game built around combat and traversal, rather than a slower exploration experience or a multiplayer format.
What is PowerSlave Exhumed?
PowerSlave Exhumed is a first-person action game set in the ancient Egyptian city of Karnak, where alien forces have cut the city off from outside contact.
It combines content from the PlayStation and Saturn versions. The game includes more than 20 levels across the city and the tomb of Pharaoh Ramses, with three-dimensional environments that allow movement between floors. Exploration includes bridges and underwater areas. Players begin with a machete and can find six additional weapons, including grenades, a flamethrower, an M-60 machine gun, and a cobra staff. The port adds widescreen and HD display support, modern gamepad support, achievements, SMAA antialiasing, anisotropic texture filtering, Vulkan and DirectX 11 graphics APIs, and object interpolation for high-refresh-rate monitors.
