Our take on Possession
Possession concentrates its play around taking over enemies rather than collecting gear. That focus gives each body a clear role, but leaves less room for inventory planning, item builds, or progression systems based on equipment.
What is Possession?
Play as a vulnerable ghost attempting to reach the surface through randomly generated levels.
Since the ghost has little strength, survival depends on taking control of monsters and using their bodies, powers, and abilities. Each floor offers multiple possible layouts, with themed areas that introduce distinct hazards and creatures. The game removes inventory management entirely, leaving possession as its central mechanic. Runs use turn-based play and can be controlled with a keyboard, mouse, or both. The presentation supports either graphics or ASCII mode. Mod support allows custom creatures, powers, and special levels, as well as changes to existing content. The full game can also be played through the demo.
