SimulationIs Plantasia worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want a gardening game that occupies part of the screen during other tasks
- Collectors interested in discovering plant species and gene traits
- Casual players who prefer short, intermittent play sessions over continuous action
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking fast-paced or continuously active gameplay may find the semi-idle structure too slow
- Players looking for extensive character-driven storytelling may find the focus on plants, resources, and customization narrow
- Players who do not want to manage breeding, harvesting, and in-game currency systems may find the growing loop too involved
Our take on Plantasia
Its defining format is a gardening game anchored to the bottom third of the screen, allowing plant growth, harvesting, and customization during other computer tasks.
What is Plantasia?
Plantasia is a semi-idle gardening game set in a solarpunk universe, positioned along the bottom third of the screen for play during other tasks.
Plant seeds, watch them develop, and harvest plants for materials and additional seeds. A laboratory lets players combine different seeds to produce hybrids with new species and colors. Requested seed bundles can be used in quests to acquire materials for expanding and customizing the greenhouse. The bedroom can be decorated with crafted items and different color schemes. The Seed Bank includes a plant database, a store for previously unlocked species, and a device that rearranges seed DNA. Random gene traits affect growth, output, and needs, while cross-breeding takes those traits into account.
How Plantasia plays
