PixelJunk Scrappers Deluxe is a beat ’em up about robot garbage collectors cleaning the streets of Junktown.
Players gather trash, stack it, pass it to teammates, and throw it at opponents while working against the clock. The game can be played alone or cooperatively through online and local multiplayer with up to four players. Its campaign spans five themed areas and more than 25 stages, with rival garbage collectors appearing in street fights. Players can use different combat styles, obtain melee and ranged weapons, recruit Scrappers, and modify a garbage truck with more than 100 parts. Competitive mini-games provide additional activities, while the setting uses a pop-art cyberpunk style inspired by Japan.
