Our take on PARTICLE MACE
Rather than giving a small ship a conventional gun, the game makes its weapon a swinging cluster of tethered debris. Its arcade structure also treats survival as a losing battle, replacing the expectation of eventual safety with repeated attempts against overwhelming hazards.
What is PARTICLE MACE?
PARTICLE MACE is an arcade space game built around a physics-based weapon instead of guns.
Players pilot a small ship through a hostile universe, using trash particles attached to the ship to build momentum and swing into enemy ships, asteroids, or other players. The game includes 150 missions, 9 ships to unlock, local play for 1-4 players, 2-4 player deathmatch, and 2-4 player arcade co-op. Leaderboards track performance, while brightly abstract visuals and a procedural background frame the action. Survival is the central challenge, with hazards requiring navigation and timing. Controller support includes PS3, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 controllers.
