Our take on Good Goliath
The game focuses on a compact pattern-based combat loop, giving up the broader systems found in longer action or role-playing campaigns. Its fixed 9-level structure and recurring catch-and-throw encounters place clear limits on variety, while boss battles provide the main escalation.
What is Good Goliath?
Good Goliath is an arcade-action game built around wave-based tower defense, with the player controlling the giant under attack.
Players dodge and catch pitchforks, barrels, and enemies, then throw those objects back at incoming foes. The campaign spans 9 levels across medieval settings, pirate islands, and an underworld, with hidden treasure, secrets, special objectives, and bronze, silver, and gold trophies. Each level features waves of enemies and may lead to a mini-boss, while each world ends with a larger monstrous boss. Friendly characters can provide cake to restore health. Unlockable hand sets allow some customization. Gameplay uses recurring patterns of punching, dodging, catching, and throwing, with the giant playable while sitting or standing.
