Our take on Paradigm
Rather than treating a post-apocalyptic setting as a grim survival scenario, the game mixes it with electronic-music ambition, retro-futurist technology, candy-producing biology, and deliberately absurd supporting characters.
What is Paradigm?
Paradigm is a surreal point-and-click adventure set in Krusz, a post-apocalyptic Eastern European country where dial-up technology and retro-futurist ideas shape the world.
Players control Paradigm, a mutated former product of DUPA genetics who wants to become an electronic music artist. His plans are disrupted when his past returns through a genetically engineered sloth that produces candy. The journey includes strange figures such as a psychopathic superhero, a secretary knight, and a glam metal cult leader pug. The game combines 2D visuals with mature content, dark humour, puzzles, and references to 1970s and 1980s visions of the future, including large computers, space-age furniture, and floppy disks.
