Our take on Outpost 13
The premise foregrounds a broad escape objective, but the current Act 1 build has no character progression system. That omission matters for players expecting the strategy layer to include persistent development rather than focusing mainly on stealth, sabotage, and crew manipulation.
What is Outpost 13?
Outpost 13 is a point-and-click action-adventure game with strategy and stealth elements.
The player controls Fen, a crew member’s dog bonded with an alien entity, and attempts to leave the planet Achelous IV by frightening the outpost’s crew into abandoning their five-year mission. The monster can separate crew members, create distractions, use the ventilation system, and temporarily cut the outpost’s power while preserving its disguise. Discovery triggers a flamethrower response that destroys the creature. The setting is an icy alien world whose seasons last several years, with the story taking place 13 Earth months into winter. The current Act 1 build does not include character progression; the vendor says it may return later.
