Our take on OU
The page gives the premise and atmosphere considerable attention, but the player’s moment-to-moment role remains abstract. It identifies the journey, its characters, and the possibility of a changed ending without explaining much about what happens between those story beats.
What is OU?
OU follows a young boy who wakes in a dried riverbed without memories of his own.
In U-chronia, a hazy world shaped by memories of the distant past, he travels with Zarry, an opossum with a flaming tail, to uncover his story. Along the way, he encounters the Saudage Specter, Gemini, and La Llorona. These figures can change the Story and how it ends. The game presents a pen-drawn setting reminiscent of children's literature, accompanied by guitar and other instrumental music. It frames itself as an adventure game while also presenting the journey as an encounter with reality and a challenge to games as a whole.
How OU plays
