What is Once Alive?
Once Alive is a first-person adventure set sixteen years after a global virus outbreak has ended humanity.
James and his brother travel to HaustVille after discovering an invitation to a survivors’ base, but the settlement is deserted. The story unfolds across three parts: the brothers’ discovery, their journey to the village, and the investigation into the residents’ disappearance. Players explore the settlement and surrounding wilderness, using abandoned objects, echoes of speech, and environmental details to discover what happened. The virus has also made animals more aggressive, creating danger in the wilderness. Cinematic cutscenes accompany the narrative as James searches for survivors and learns more about the outbreak.
