Rather than centering progression on combat or a heroic quest, the game makes property ownership and small-scale production central activities. Farming, furnishing, tenant management, and criminal acts all contribute to life in one quarantined building.
What is Obenseuer?
Obenseuer is an urban survival RPG set in a quarantined district where the player becomes the owner of an unfinished tenement.
The building can be repaired, expanded, furnished, and fitted with workshops and manufacturing equipment. Apartments can be prepared for tenants while basement space supports a personal factory. Farming turnips, potatoes, and other crops provides food and materials for producing refined turnip juice. Local tasks and quests reveal unusual residents and hidden events beneath the district. The game also includes theft, sabotage, and break-ins, with the possibility of arrest by the local militia. Its setting includes depression, addiction, disease, and strict restrictions on leaving the area.
