Our take on Notebook Artillery
The focus on artillery duels keeps the design centered on aiming, powder selection, and environmental variables. That focus leaves little room for broader progression systems, narrative structure, or multiplayer beyond solo practice and local competition.
What is Notebook Artillery?
Notebook Artillery is a hand-drawn artillery game built around selecting a firing angle and powder amount before launching cannonballs at an opponent’s tower.
Solo Target Practice provides a way to refine shots, while local Vs. mode supports challenges between two players. Wind strength alters each firing decision, and trees can obstruct attacks. Stage layouts are randomly generated, so battle conditions change between rounds. Skillshots award stickers that appear on the notebook cover. The game includes three world styles based on wild west themes, a fully visual interface without in-game text, and artwork presented in 4K. It combines arcade action with physics-based firing and is made with GameMaker Studio 2.
