Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking turn-based battles or a slow, methodical pace may find the combat too fast.

- Players who prefer fixed-base RTS games may not enjoy managing mobile bases.
- Players looking for historical military strategy may not want a science-fiction setting with alien factions.
Our take on Nightside
Rather than using a conventional hidden map, the game makes illumination the basis of battlefield vision. Its factions also share mobile bases, replacing the usual fixed stronghold structure with units and headquarters that can relocate.
What is Nightside?
Nightside is a science-fiction real-time strategy game focused on base construction and combat.
Players follow Adam, a human explorer, through a 14-mission single-player campaign about the secrets of an unknown planet and a conflict between two alien races. Four playable races use different gameplay mechanics, and each has a mobile base. Battles emphasize fast combat alongside both unit-level control and broader resource or base management. The game also includes matches against AI opponents across 18 maps and three difficulty settings. Vision is provided by the lights of units and buildings rather than conventional fog of war, making illuminated areas central to battlefield awareness.
