Our take on AWA
The arcade format keeps the focus on repeated runs through nine stages, but that structure leaves little room for exploration or a long-form campaign. Progression comes from spending mission earnings on equipment and unlocking aircraft rather than from a broader character-building system.
What is AWA?
Pilot modern military aircraft in a fast-paced shoot-'em-up across nine stages, each ending with a boss encounter.
The game offers a selection of fighter aircraft, with additional planes available to unlock. Missions award money that can be spent on aircraft upgrades, weapons, and support drones. Three difficulty settings provide different challenge levels, while multi-stage bosses extend several encounters. A full controller option, TATE mode, online leaderboards, achievements, and trading cards are included.
