Our take on Near-Death-Expedition
The defining structure is the transition from management chats and calls into streams based on the plans made during those conversations.
What is Near-Death-Expedition?
Near-Death-Expedition follows a former employee who becomes the manager of Owarino Rinne, a VTuber traveling through a post-apocalyptic world.
The game alternates between Chat Mode and Stream Mode. In Chat Mode, conversations and calls through the AloneZoo communication app cover project proposals, activities, and mental care. The selected responses affect the conversation content. Stream Mode presents broadcasts based on the plans developed during calls, including talking, singing, and ASMR sessions. Rinne streams from an abandoned train with a cat-like creature named Emergency Food. Controls include text progression, automatic text advancement, quick saving, and quick loading. The estimated playing time is 90 to 120 minutes, with support for Windows and macOS.
