Our take on NAIRI: Tower of Shirin
The focus on storytelling, exploration, and puzzles leaves little room for combat-focused play. Its chapter-one structure also presents the beginning of a trilogy rather than a complete series arc.
What is NAIRI: Tower of Shirin?
This hand-drawn adventure combines visual-novel storytelling with point-and-click exploration and puzzles.
After being torn from a life of luxury, Nairi travels through the dangerous oasis city of Shirin with Rex, a former gangster turned scholar. Their journey leads through slums, ancient secrets, and dark prophecies. Players explore large environments, collect and trade items, and combine objects to make progress. Puzzle dungeons provide additional challenges, while Rex’s journal offers optional hints. Shirin is home to dozens of eccentric characters, some with important information and others who add humor.
