Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want island management combined with trade and diplomacy

- Players who prefer variable maps and semi-idle real-time strategy systems
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly scripted campaign may find the procedurally generated structure less focused
- Players wanting a purely action-driven experience may find the semi-idle strategy pacing too management-oriented
- Players looking for a broad selection of historical factions in the base game may find the initial roster limited to three Greek factions and the Persians
Our take on Myths and Legends
Rather than following a fixed campaign map, the game combines semi-idle real-time strategy with procedurally generated islands. Its expected strategy loop also includes humor, breeding large faction beasts, and managing trade and diplomacy alongside warfare.
What is Myths and Legends?
Set before 500 BCE, this semi-idle real-time strategy game places exploration, combat, trade, and diplomacy across procedurally generated islands.
Each session creates different locations and biomes to discover and manage. The basic version includes three ancient Greek factions and the Persians, with faction-specific units, varied unit statistics, and large beasts that can be bred. Trade ships and new arrivals reach the player's island as the day and night cycle changes the lighting. Units can raid enemy territories, while diplomacy, commerce, and warfare connect island management to dealings with outside factions. Additional groups, including Thracians and Phoenicians, are planned as separate DLC.
