Our take on Mother Hub
Rather than centering its action on open-ended progression, Mother Hub uses a compact descent through a single enormous vault. Its first-person combat is paired with environmental clues and archival fragments, making the investigation of the setting part of the campaign’s structure.
What is Mother Hub?
Mother Hub is a retro first-person shooter set in a decaying futuristic vault.
Humanity lives inside one massive structure, where a sickness threatens its survival. The player descends into abandoned lower levels to search for a cure, fight evolved and mutated creatures, and recover advanced weapons lost over centuries. Environmental storytelling reveals the history of the Hub through audio logs, emails, writings, documents, and flashbacks. The story follows Thea, whose connection to the vault becomes part of the mystery. The game includes boss encounters, overgrown environments, and a descent into increasingly dangerous areas. Its estimated playtime is about 2 hours, ranging from roughly 1 hour 45 minutes for experienced players to 3 hours for slower exploration.
