We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR players who want artillery aiming matches against other people
- Players who enjoy competing in arena battles with tower growth
- Solo VR players who want to fight bots instead of joining online matches
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a campaign or story missions may hit a wall with the arena-focused structure.
- Players who dislike repeatedly judging wind, distance, trajectory, and velocity may bounce off the firing system.
- Players looking for a large selection of maps may find three arenas limiting.
Our take on Mortars VR
The likely sticking point is the aiming loop: each shot requires judging wind, distance, trajectory, and velocity before firing. Players who do not enjoy repeatedly calculating artillery shots may bounce off at the firing stage, before tower growth becomes relevant.
What is Mortars VR?
Mortars VR is a VR artillery shooter with online multiplayer and single-player matches against bots.
Players operate a cannon tower, locate opponents, account for wind, distance, trajectory, and velocity, then fire. Destroying other players makes a tower taller and stronger. Players can form alliances to challenge stronger opponents or try to reach the top alone. Matches support up to four players and use five tower classes, each with unique weapons. The game includes 15 weapons and three maps, with different strategies required across the maps. Play centers on aiming artillery and competing to become the tallest tower in the arena.
