Our take on Morbid
Instead of treating horror as a sequence of combat encounters, Morbid centers its structure on detective work. Evidence searches, environmental interactions, and variable clue placement replace a more conventional linear action progression.
What is Morbid?
Morbid is a psychological horror investigation game starring Senior Detective J.
Taylor. After a disturbing emergency call from a quiet suburban neighborhood, the player examines evidence and investigates a family’s tragic, puzzling history. Exploration involves searching containers, collecting objects, operating switches, and finding clues in the environment. Items and clues are randomized, so investigation details can vary between sessions. The game uses atmospheric visuals and sound with a minimal interface, alongside player interaction, environmental detail, and AI interaction. It is currently in Early Access, with the core gameplay available while the developer gathers feedback before release.
