Our take on Monolith
The focused point-and-click format keeps the experience centered on investigation and puzzle solving, but it also limits mechanical variety. The 7–9 hour duration provides a compact story, while leaving less room for extended exploration or repeated play.
What is Monolith?
Monolith is a point-and-click science-fiction adventure about Tessa Carter, a space explorer stranded on a barren planet after a failed mission.
With limited memory and a damaged ship, she investigates an old mining station owned by her employer, the Intergalactic Mining Corporation. A small analysis robot named C. O. R. E. provides limited support while Tessa examines locations, gathers information, combines items, and operates machines to understand the station and seek escape. The game presents 50 hand-drawn locations, three-dimensional characters, motion-capture animation, and full English and German voice acting. Its story follows Tessa’s attempt to survive while uncovering what happened at the apparently abandoned facility. A complete playthrough is listed at 7–9 hours.
