- Players who do not enjoy whimsical themes involving kissing, witches, and improvised vocal jazz may lose interest in the presentation.
Our take on Mon Amour
The bounce point arrives at the control scheme: players expecting direct movement, combat, or exploration must instead manage the run through one button. After the premise is established, repeated survival attempts and rival score comparisons form the main structure.
What is Mon Amour?
Mon Amour is a one-button flappy game set in a pastel pixel world.
A mustachioed monsieur travels through Babastille to rescue a princess and 64 members of her royal court. The route includes volcanic fields, giant windmills, kaiju, dancing dolphins, haunted mansions, and other traps. Each attempt focuses on staying alive while continuing the rescue and increasing the kiss count. Notifications report where rival players died, along with their scores and times, giving repeated runs a competitive structure. The game also includes an ever-changing stream of improvised vocal jazz, with scat singing accompanying the journey. Its premise combines arcade survival, a rescue objective, environmental hazards, and attempts to surpass rival results.
