Our take on Molten Armor
Instead of treating tower defense as a fixed sequence of placements, the game combines turret management with direct battlefield actions and branching war decisions. Its campaign can shift through different scenarios, environments, and squad outcomes, replacing a standard linear defense structure with a choice-led military story.
What is Molten Armor?
Set on Marina, a remote colony involved in a long war, Molten Armor combines tower defense with active combat.
Players command a defensive unit, build turrets, improve them during battles, and use barricades, slowing nets, mines, rockets, and tactical time-slowing. Different towers are suited to different enemies, such as infantry or tanks. Choices open different scenarios and can affect squad members, who may leave, die, or join the enemy. Missions include defending evacuation convoys, taking part in ambushes, breaking through enemy defenses, and fighting giant bosses. Branching routes include cities, deserts, snow-covered forests, sea battles, train escapes, and bomber flights. The campaign has four possible endings, and an easy mode is available alongside the game's hardcore challenge.
