What is Modest Hero?
Set in Paris during the 1848 uprising, Modest Hero follows Victor, an ordinary man arrested with six others after a general is killed during violent clashes in the suburbs.
As the prisoners are taken toward judgment, Victor recalls the beginning of the most important adventure of his life. The story presents the uprising from the perspective of people who carried its burdens and were later ignored. Its opening setting is a city damaged by civil war, where Victor and his companions move forward with anger, discouragement, hope, and the instinct to survive. The game centers on Victor’s final journey and the memories connected to it.
